Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Software Engineer role based in Chennai. The Junior Software Engineer will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software components, primarily focused on back-end services and application logic. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, participating in code reviews, debugging and fixing issues, and collaborating with senior engineers and cross-functional teams. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software architecture, testing, and deployment, as well as documenting technical work and contributing to continuous improvement of development processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles.
Ability to perform Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, server-side frameworks, and databases.
Skills in Software Development practices such as version control, testing, and debugging.
Proficiency in Programming with at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in building modular, maintainable code.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team, communicate clearly, and follow structured development processes.
Eagerness to learn new tools and technologies, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
