Role Description The Research and Development Engineer – Product Development is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role involves conducting research to identify product opportunities, developing and refining product concepts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as design, manufacturing, and quality assurance. The engineer will plan and execute testing protocols, analyze performance data, and translate findings into design improvements and technical documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing R&D activities, supporting product lifecycle stages from concept to launch, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the product development pipeline.
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in Research and Development (R&D) and Product Development for engineering or technology-based solutions.
Strong Analytical Skills supported by hands-on experience in Research, including data interpretation and problem-solving.
Experience in Testing methodologies, validation processes, and evaluating product performance against specifications.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Product Design, or related field).
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Familiarity with industry standards, prototyping tools, and documentation practices relevant to product development.
Detail-oriented mindset, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Prior experience in a product development or R&D environment, particularly in consulting or technology-driven sectors, is an advantage.
