Role Description
The Senior Software Engineer role is a full-time, remote position focused on designing, building, and maintaining software solutions that support B2B commerce, ERP migrations, and systems integration. In this role, the engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams and senior consultants to translate business requirements into robust, scalable back-end architectures and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, reviewing peer work for quality and maintainability, and ensuring secure, reliable integrations between platforms such as Dynamics 365 Business Central and custom applications. The engineer also contributes to technical design discussions, supports troubleshooting and performance tuning, and helps refine development standards and best practices to keep solutions modern and efficient.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
Experience in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on building reliable, maintainable applications in modern languages and frameworks.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, databases, and integration with enterprise systems.
Applied knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns to create scalable and modular solutions.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), relational databases, and version control systems such as Git.
Background in ERP or business systems (e.g., Dynamics 365 Business Central, NAV, GP, or similar) is highly beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
