Role Description The Test Engineer role at X-Studio is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. In this role, the Test Engineer will design, document, and maintain test cases for web, mobile, and other digital products. Responsibilities include executing manual and automated tests, performing functional testing across different platforms and devices, identifying defects, and working with developers and product teams to resolve issues. The Test Engineer will participate in sprint activities, contribute to test planning and test strategy, and help improve overall product quality through continuous feedback and optimization of testing processes. The role also involves creating clear test reports and communicating risks and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including understanding of testing methodologies and QA processes.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution and documenting detailed Test Cases.
Practical experience in Testing of web and mobile applications, including cross-browser and cross-device testing.
Proficiency in Functional Testing to validate requirements, workflows, and user scenarios.
Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail or similar).
Basic knowledge of automation testing tools or frameworks is an advantage.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and provide concise defect reports.
Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to improving product quality.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in an agile or scrum environment is beneficial.
