Role Description The Draughtsman role at GOVT. ITI KARNAL is a full-time on-site position located in Rania. The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing technical drawings, plans, and detailed diagrams based on specifications and instructions from instructors, engineers, or supervisors. Daily tasks include interpreting sketches and blueprints, using drafting tools or CAD software, ensuring accuracy of dimensions, and updating drawings as required. The role also involves collaborating with teaching staff and other technical personnel, maintaining organized records of drawings, and following institutional standards and safety guidelines. The Draughtsman may support training activities by assisting in demonstrations or helping learners understand technical drawings and related documentation.
Qualifications
Strong technical drawing abilities, including the ability to prepare clear and accurate plans, sections, and elevations.
Proficiency in using traditional drafting tools and familiarity with basic CAD software or digital drafting tools.
Good understanding of engineering or architectural drawing standards, symbols, and measurement systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions with close attention to detail.
Relevant technical qualification or certificate in Draughtsman, Drafting, or a related trade from a recognized institution.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, and trainees.
Strong organizational skills, including maintaining records, managing multiple drawing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
Commitment to safety practices, accuracy, and continuous learning in the field of technical drawing.
