About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Citi is evolving its current commerce offerings and branching into new avenues of growth by offering merchants access to high value cardmembers across Citi’s digital properties and partner placements. By combining Citi’s scale, trusted customer relationships, and real purchase insights, the business delivers advertising that is relevant to customers and drives measurable, incremental impact for advertisers.
We're building Citi Commerce from the ground up, and we're looking for a programmatic media subject matter expert who knows how to translate client objectives into flawless campaign execution. Someone who is comfortable with detail and precision, and who takes pride in building campaigns that perform, scale, and evolve with the market.
The Programmatic Media Associate is a highly hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for the day-to-day delivery of campaigns across Citi Commerce. This individual will own the tactical setup, trafficking, and optimization of campaigns, ensuring accuracy, speed, and performance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the details—managing tags, troubleshooting delivery issues, and ensuring campaigns launch and run flawlessly—while contributing to building scalable processes in a fast-paced, build-from-scratch environment.
Responsibilities:
Execute campaign setup and trafficking across ad platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Perform QA on all campaigns, including tags, creatives, pixels, and audience parameters prior to launch
Monitor campaign pacing and delivery daily; identify and resolve issues such as under-delivery, discrepancies, and tagging errors
Implement and validate tracking (pixels, tags, conversion events) to support accurate measurement
Activate and manage audience segments using Citi first-party data and onboarding platforms
Manage campaign changes, optimizations, and updates in-flight based on performance and client needs
Track inventory availability and ensure campaigns are aligned to available supply
Troubleshoot technical issues across platforms (ad servers, DSPs, data platforms) in real time
Partner closely with Sales, Planning, and Product teams to ensure campaigns are executed to spec
Contribute to documentation of trafficking workflows, QA checklists, and operational best practices
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in media, branding or advertising analytics
2–3 years of experience in AdTech, MarTech, data integration, or technical campaign operations roles
Experience working within a publisher, ad network, or commerce media environment is highly preferred
Experience delivering flawless campaign launches with accurate setup and trafficking
Experience consistently managing QA processes minimizing errors and rework
Experience with reliable pacing and delivery aligned to campaign goals
Experience providing clear, timely campaign reporting and issue resolutions
Experience documenting operational playbooks and trafficking standards
Education:
Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience (Highly preferred bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field)

Familiarity with audience/data platforms (e.g., LiveRamp, CDPs, clean rooms)
Working knowledge of campaign measurement, tracking, and media KPIs
Experience managing both onsite (owned & operated) and offsite (programmatic, social) campaigns
Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
