About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to build, maintain and optimise reliable data pipelines and data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and Python skills, hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, and knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
Build and optimise data transformation processes using SQL, Python and PySpark.
Work with data platforms and cloud services to ingest, process and manage data efficiently.
Support data warehousing and lakehouse architecture, ensuring data quality, reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver dependable data solutions.
Troubleshoot pipeline issues, improve performance and maintain documentation for data workflows.
Explore and use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity where appropriate.
Key Skills & Requirements
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT pipelines.
Working knowledge of Spark / PySpark.
Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
Exposure to Databricks, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory or Microsoft Fabric.
Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Lakehouse Architecture.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
