Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Excavator Operator role based in Delhi, India. The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform excavation, trenching, and earthmoving tasks according to project plans and safety guidelines. Day-to-day activities include maneuvering the excavator, digging and leveling ground, loading and unloading materials, and assisting with site preparation and backfilling. The role involves conducting basic equipment inspections, reporting mechanical issues, and supporting routine maintenance to keep machinery in safe working condition. The Excavator Operator will coordinate with site supervisors and other crew members to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
Strong skills in equipment operation and heavy equipment handling for construction and excavation work.
Experience in excavation and trench work, including digging, grading, and earthmoving to project specifications.
Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance, daily inspections, and safe operation checks on excavators.
Knowledge of site safety practices, hazard awareness, and adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Prior experience as an Excavator Operator or in a similar heavy machinery role in construction or infrastructure projects.
Relevant operator license or certification for heavy equipment, as required by local regulations.
Ability to follow instructions, read basic site plans, and work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members.
Physical ability to work in outdoor conditions for extended periods and perform tasks on active construction sites.
