Professional Summary
Feldkamp Mechanical is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Installer / Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.
Core Qualifications
2+ years of commercial HVAC installation and/or service experience preferred
Experience installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and system components
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings
Knowledge of RTUs, AHUs, VRF systems, split systems, and VAV systems
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Experience working in commercial and industrial environments
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Commitment to workplace safety and OSHA standards
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
Install ductwork, piping, equipment, and associated HVAC components.
Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues.
Perform preventive maintenance and service work as assigned.
Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Assist with HVAC system startup, testing, and commissioning.
Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and fellow tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and job documentation.
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and company standards.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Represent Feldkamp Mechanical professionally with customers and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications
HVAC apprenticeship or trade school training
EPA Certification preferred
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
Experience with commercial HVAC service and installation
Experience working on large commercial or industrial projects
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and building codes
