About the opportunity
Join QIAGEN as a Sales Controlling Business Partner and help turn commercial data into meaningful insights for our North America Sales organization. In this role, you will work closely with the Sales Controller and Sales leadership, bringing together sales analytics, forecasting, planning and financial insight to support informed business decisions. You will combine strong analytical capabilities with commercial understanding, taking ownership of recurring performance activities and selected business-partnering topics while helping improve the transparency and efficiency of reporting and controlling processes.
Your tasks include
Develop recurring sales reports, analytical models and management materials, translating large data sets into clear insights and commercially relevant recommendations.
Analyze key revenue and performance drivers, including price and volume, portfolio and customer trends, sales funnel, instrument placements and deviations.
Prepare monthly revenue forecasts and support annual budgeting and mid-term planning, including revenue, sales headcount and expense assumptions.
Identify risks and opportunities, challenge data quality and assumptions, and build clear fact bases to support discussions with North America Sales leadership and other stakeholders.
Partner closely with the Sales Controller on day-to-day analytical and operational topics while independently owning selected business-partnering activities, performance reviews and cross-functional alignments.
Support sales commission calculations and reviews, applying your understanding of regional structures, portfolios and incentive schemes to enable transparent and reliable results.
Monitor and forecast sales-region costs and contribute to continuous improvements in reporting, systems and processes, helping align local practices with global standards.
Your profile
You bring relevant experience in sales controlling, commercial finance, FP&A, sales finance, business partnering or sales analytics, ideally supporting a commercial organization.
You have strong analytical capabilities and can confidently work with large and complex data sets to identify business drivers, trends, risks and opportunities.
You understand core forecasting and planning concepts and can connect revenue drivers such as pricing, volume, portfolio mix, sales funnel and placements with financial performance.
You can translate detailed financial and commercial analysis into concise management insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
You are comfortable taking ownership of recurring analyses and selected business-partnering topics while recognizing when significant decisions or trade-offs need escalation.
You can collaborate effectively across Finance, Sales and other functions and communicate analytical conclusions clearly to stakeholders.
