Role Description The Field Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for supporting installation, maintenance, and servicing of hi-tech machinery at customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and providing technical support to customers. The role involves coordinating with internal teams to plan service visits, document work performed, and ensure timely resolution of field issues. The Field Engineer will interact directly with customers to explain technical findings, train operators on proper machine usage, and uphold safety and quality standards during all field activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for machinery and related systems.
Candidates should possess effective Communication and Field Service skills for customer-facing responsibilities.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan, prioritize, and complete service assignments on schedule.
Relevant diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
Experience working with industrial or manufacturing machinery, including installation and commissioning, is an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, and use diagnostic tools safely and effectively.
Willingness to travel to client sites, work in field conditions, and adhere to safety and compliance requirements.
