Tendering Engineer and costing

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tendering Engineer and Costing role based in Mumbai. The role involves preparing and reviewing quotations, cost estimates, and BOQs for electrical and interior infrastructure projects. The Tendering Engineer will analyze tender documents, technical drawings, and specifications, coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement-related information, and negotiate prices and terms where required. Daily tasks include conducting cost comparisons, identifying risks and value-engineering options, and ensuring that tenders comply with technical and commercial requirements. The role involves close communication with internal project teams and external stakeholders to clarify technical queries, support bid submissions, and maintain accurate records of tenders, costs, and procurement data.
Qualifications
Ability to prepare and manage detailed quotations and cost estimates for infrastructure and interior projects.
Strong analytical skills to interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications, and perform cost analysis.
Effective communication skills for coordination with clients, vendors, and internal project teams.
Experience in procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor management, and price negotiation.
Background in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline; diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Proficiency with MS Excel and other costing tools; familiarity with tendering software or ERP systems is an advantage.
Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.
Prior experience in tendering, estimation, or costing within construction, interiors, or infrastructure sectors is beneficial.
