Survey Technician

Sea Island Land Development, a sitework and land development company based in Ravenel, SC, is seeking a Survey Technician to support field survey operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with construction staking, topographic surveys, and sitework. This role requires attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform field surveys for sitework and land development projects, including topographic, as-built, and construction layout surveys.
Operate GPS equipment, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying instruments.
Interpret civil site plans, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate field layout.
Collect, record, and verify survey measurements, field notes, and data.
Assist with construction staking and establishing elevations, grades, and reference points on job sites.
Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in land surveying or construction surveying preferred.
Familiarity with GPS equipment, total stations, data collectors, and other surveying instruments is a plus.
Basic understanding of construction plans, site layouts, elevations, and grading.
Ability to collect accurate measurements and maintain organized field notes.
Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively with field personnel.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work outside in all weather conditions.
