About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
We're looking for a Principal Product Manager, Civil & Infrastructure to lead the expansion of Procore's general contractor business into civil and infrastructure construction. This is a new growth market for Procore. Civil and infrastructure contractors operate differently and build different types of projects than the customers Procore serves today, and this role will shape how we enter this market and grow in it.
You will own Procore's strategy for civil and infrastructure from end to end: what we build, how we bring it to customers, and whether it needs its own pricing and packaging. The role combines product strategy and go-to-market. In the near term, you will bring capabilities already in development to market, working with Product Marketing, Sales, and Enablement to position and launch them. You will then study the market in depth and build a cross-platform roadmap that defines what Procore needs to become a leading choice for civil and infrastructure contractors over the next one to two years. That roadmap will span many product teams, so much of your impact will come from influencing and partnering with other product leaders. If you are excited about defining a new market for a category-leading platform, come join us.
This position reports to the Director of Product, General Contractors, and is based in Austin, TX. We're looking for someone to join us as soon as possible.
What you'll do:
Own the product strategy for Procore's civil and infrastructure market, including which customer segments to target, which problems to solve first, and how to sequence investment
Bring new civil and infrastructure capabilities to market as they complete development, partnering with Product Marketing, Sales, and Enablement on positioning, launch plans, and sales readiness
Assess whether civil and infrastructure needs dedicated pricing and packaging, form a recommendation, and build alignment on it across the business; if dedicated pricing and packaging is warranted, lead its design and rollout with pricing, finance, and revenue leaders
Build one cohesive, cross-platform roadmap that connects work across multiple Procore product teams into a single plan for the market
Spend significant time with civil and infrastructure contractors, owners, and industry experts to understand their workflows, how they buy software, and where their needs are unmet
Analyze the competitive landscape and market data to size opportunities and identify new areas for product development
Make the business case for new investments and influence the roadmaps of teams you don't directly lead
Communicate strategy, progress, and results clearly to executive leadership
What success looks like in your first 12 to 18 months:
The civil and infrastructure capabilities now in development launch with clear positioning, and our sales and customer teams are equipped to sell and support them
The business has aligned on whether civil and infrastructure needs dedicated pricing and packaging, and any new offerings are in market
Procore has a cross-platform civil and infrastructure roadmap that leadership has reviewed and committed to
Civil and infrastructure revenue and customer adoption grow against targets you help set
What we're looking for:
8+ years of product management experience building and launching B2B SaaS products, including time at the senior or principal level
A track record of taking a product or business into a new market, from strategy through launch and growth
Hands-on experience with pricing and packaging decisions and go-to-market plans, working alongside marketing and sales teams
Experience in the construction industry or in construction technology
Ability to set strategy across multiple product teams and influence leaders without direct authority
Comfort defining problems and building plans in areas where little structure exists yet
Strong qualitative and quantitative skills, including market sizing, customer research, and business case development
Clear written and verbal communication, including with executive
