Senior .NET Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior .NET Engineer to join our software engineering team.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services using modern Microsoft technologies. You will work on business-critical systems, integrations, APIs, and cloud-native solutions, while contributing to architecture, technical decisions, and continuous improvement.
You will collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using C# and .NET
Design and implement scalable REST APIs
Develop integrations with internal and third-party systems
Work with relational databases and data access technologies such as Entity Framework Core
Contribute to solution architecture and technical design decisions
Develop and maintain cloud-native and microservice-based applications
Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices
Identify and improve performance, scalability, security, and reliability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle
Support CI/CD, deployment, and application lifecycle processes
Mentor and support other developers when required
Required Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core
Experience designing and developing REST APIs
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
Experience with relational databases and Entity Framework Core
Experience with microservice or distributed application architectures
Knowledge of web application and API security concepts
Experience with Docker and containerized applications
Familiarity with Git and modern development workflows
Understanding of automated testing and software quality practices
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Preferred / Bonus Skills
Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform
Experience with Azure Functions, App Service, Container Apps, AKS, or similar cloud services
Knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
Experience with message-based or event-driven architectures
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Experience designing solution architectures and documenting technical decisions using ADRs or RFCs
Knowledge of performance optimization, monitoring, and observability
Experience working on high-availability or high-traffic systems
Experience with payment, commerce, financial, or other transaction-based systems
Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as Angular, React, or TypeScript
Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments
