Role Description The Vice President of Engineering at Prism Payment Solutions is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the engineering organization and driving the technical vision for the company’s payment platforms. This role oversees engineering teams, sets development standards, and ensures high-quality delivery of software products that meet security, performance, and scalability requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineering leaders, aligning technical roadmaps with business objectives, guiding architecture and design decisions, and ensuring effective project execution across multiple initiatives. The Vice President of Engineering collaborates closely with Product, Operations, and Security teams to prioritize features, manage resources, and continuously improve engineering processes and tools. This role also focuses on building a strong engineering culture, attracting and retaining talent, and fostering innovation in payment solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience leading distributed, high-performing engineering organizations.
Candidates should possess solid Software Development experience, with a deep understanding of modern architectures, secure coding practices, and scalable cloud-based systems.
Candidates should possess proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and cross-functional coordination.
Candidates should possess Product Development expertise, including partnering with Product teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Extensive experience in financial services, fintech, or payment processing environments is highly beneficial.
Strong knowledge of security standards, compliance frameworks, and best practices for transactional systems is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture and mentor technical leaders.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
