Description
Qatar Airways is recruiting for the role of Senior Cargo Compliance Support Center Agent based at our Combined Delivery Centre (CDC) in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India).
The position conducts day-to-day review, remediation, documentation and escalation of cargo compliance cases relating to sanctions screening, restricted-party screening, export control indicators, restricted commodities and dual-use goods across the cargo network. The role reviews shipment data, parties, routing, destinations, commodity descriptions, supporting documents and end-use or end-user indicators; records case decisions; and escalates potential compliance concerns through the approved reporting line.
Responsibilities
Review shipment parties, AWB data, routing, origin, destination, consignee, shipper, agent and other shipment details for compliance risk indicators.
Perform sanctions, restricted-party and export control screening remediation for assigned cargo shipments, alerts and operational queries.
Assess commodity descriptions for possible dual-use, military or strategic goods, restricted commodities, controlled technology and destination-based control concerns.
Validate permits, licenses, end-user statements, shipper declarations, invoices, packing lists and other compliance evidence where applicable.
Record screening outcomes, decision rationale, case notes, evidence and closure details accurately in approved systems or trackers.
Escalate potential true matches, high-risk shipments, unclear commodity descriptions, documentation gaps, end-use concerns and legally sensitive cases through to the approved escalation channels.
Support handover preparation, pending-case tracking, backlog monitoring, service-level follow-up and recurring-error reporting.
Follow up with stations, cargo operations, commercial teams, product teams, GHAs and other stakeholders to obtain missing information or clarify shipment details.
Identify recurring issues, process gaps, system limitations and training needs, and provide feedback through the approved reporting line.
Complete assigned compliance reviews and documentation validations accurately and within required service levels.
Maintain complete audit trails, evidence, case notes, decision rationale and handover documentation for assigned cases.
Apply approved procedures, escalation matrices, maker-checker controls and case-closure criteria consistently, without making decisions outside delegated authority.
