As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll provide meaningful financial insight that supports executive decision-making across the business and finance teams. You'll lead and enhance planning, forecasting, stress testing, and performance reporting processes, while preparing materials and analysis for senior leaders including the Canadian Banking Executive team, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Committee. You'll assess business performance, identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities, and recommend actions to support strategic objectives. You'll also help strengthen financial intelligence capabilities across the Canadian Banking Chief Financial Officer group by improving methodologies, reporting, and analytical processes.
How you'll succeed
Planning and forecasting - Lead and support the annual planning process, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and three-year strategic planning activities for Personal & Business Banking. Identify key business drivers, assess risk and return considerations, and help ensure plans align with business goals and incentive structures.
Financial analysis and reporting - Analyze monthly and quarterly line of business results and prepare clear, well-structured reporting and presentations for senior executives. Provide insightful commentary on financial performance, trends, risks, and opportunities to support internal communication and executive decision-making.
Decision support - Deliver ongoing and ad hoc analysis that helps leaders understand the potential impacts of proposed actions on the business. Provide recommendations grounded in data and sound business judgment, including both short- and long-term implications for the organization.
Process improvement and controls - Develop and maintain processes to gather financial information from multiple sources in order to review, manage, and validate allocations to PBB. Strengthen reporting quality, consistency, and efficiency through effective controls, validation, and process enhancements.
Performance metrics and business insight - Coordinate reporting and analysis of key performance metrics, including regulatory capital, economic capital, balance sheet measures, market share, and competitive trends. Support data validation and reconciliation activities that improve the reliability and usefulness of business insights.
Executive partnership - Work closely with senior leaders and business partners across Finance and the broader bank to support strategic planning, financial methodology changes, and regulatory impacts. Present findings in a professional and concise way that informs decisions at the senior executive level.
Who you are
You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex financial results, identifying issues and trends, and translating analysis into meaningful insight for business leaders.
You can demonstrate experience in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, financial modelling, scorecards, dashboards, and executive reporting. In addition, you have experience with banking financial statements and the Canadian personal and commercial banking business, including retail and small business lending, deposits, net interest income, fee income, pricing, and balance sheet mix. It’s an asset if you have a strong understanding of regulatory and economic capital metrics, along with knowledge of banking source systems and reporting environments.
You know that details matter. You bring strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and care in your work.
You’re motivated by collective success. You work well with business and finance partners and can build strong relationships while managing multiple priorities and tight timelines.

You’re a certified professional. You have current accreditation and good standing in a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. It’s an asset if you bring one or more of these credentials in addition to relevant banking or financial institution experience.
