Senior Full-Stack AWS Engineer / Technical Lead — Fintech Lending Platform

Role Description The Senior Full-Stack AWS Engineer / Technical Lead — Fintech Lending Platform role is a remote contract position responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining a cloud-native lending platform. The role involves leading technical design, choosing appropriate AWS services, and implementing secure, scalable microservices and APIs for core lending workflows. Day-to-day work includes full-stack development, code reviews, technical documentation, and close collaboration with product, operations, and client stakeholders to align solutions with business requirements. The engineer will guide implementation best practices, improve system performance and reliability, and ensure adherence to security, compliance, and quality standards. This role also includes mentoring other developers and contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and tooling.
Qualifications
Strong Full-Stack Development skills, including experience designing and building end-to-end web applications.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, with emphasis on building APIs, microservices, and data models.
Hands-on Front-End Development experience, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
Solid Software Development fundamentals, including testing, debugging, version control, and CI/CD practices.
Advanced experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch) and scalable cloud architectures.
Experience leading technical projects or teams, making architectural decisions, and setting coding standards.
Background in fintech, lending, or financial services platforms is strongly preferred; familiarity with security, data privacy, and compliance requirements is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote, contract setting, communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders, and deliver maintainable, well-documented solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
