Company Description Nordic Science Capital is a fully private investment company focused on early-stage technology ventures with strong scientific foundations. The firm invests from inception to seed stage, primarily in the Nordics and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Nordic Science Capital targets technologies that can be scaled, protected through patents, and applied across multiple sectors. The portfolio often includes scientific and academic founders with unconventional backgrounds, creating a dynamic and innovative environment for investment professionals. Role Description The Vice President of Financial Systems is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the financial infrastructure that supports Nordic Science Capital’s investment and portfolio operations. This position manages the development and maintenance of financial reporting frameworks, consolidates financial data across portfolio companies, and ensures accuracy and timeliness of financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. The role includes leading financial planning and analysis processes, building models for portfolio performance, liquidity management, and scenario planning, and partnering with investment teams on deal evaluation and fundraising support. The Vice President will work closely with operations, legal, and compliance to align financial systems with regulatory requirements and best practices, while continuously improving tools, workflows, and financial controls. This role also involves mentoring finance team members and contributing to strategic decisions related to capital allocation and long-term financial strategy.
