Newscast Director

We're seeking a skilled and innovative Newscast Director to lead live and recorded productions across television, streaming, and digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom, enjoys leading production teams, and wants to help deliver engaging content to audiences wherever they watch.
What You'll Do
Direct live newscasts, special coverage, and locally produced programming.
Lead control room operations, coordinating cameras, audio, graphics, and production staff.
Produce and oversee content for broadcast, streaming, OTT, CTV, and FAST channels.
Direct breaking news, weather, sports, election coverage, and special events.
Operate and manage live-streaming technologies, including VMIX, OBS, and related production systems.
Partner with newsroom, digital, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality productions across multiple platforms.
Train and mentor production staff while helping develop best practices and workflows.
What We're Looking For
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience directing live television or streaming productions.
Knowledge of control room operations, live production workflows, and digital streaming technologies.
Ability to perform under pressure and make quick decisions during breaking news situations.
A collaborative team player who is passionate about producing compelling content.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; degree in Broadcast Production, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field preferred.
At least two years of experience in television production, directing, or newsroom operations.
Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather-related coverage.
