Staff Speech Language Pathologist - Speech Therapy - Per Diem - Variable Shifts

Per Diem SLP with advanced NICU experience
Salary Range: $60.70 - 82.07 plus Per Diem differential
Job Summary
The Per Diem Staff Speech Pathologist will provide professional Speech Pathology services specific to patient's age and diagnosis including evaluation, planning individual patient care programs, treatments, documentation, educating patient and family, conferring with other professional and performing other related duties as required. Will work in a variety of settings including all floors of the acute care hospital. Patients will include inpatient and outpatients, with work schedule to include some weekends. Therapists are members of ESC Local 20 union.
In addition to performing the essential functions listed below, may also be assigned other duties as required.
Educational Requirements
Master's degree in Communication Disorders / Speech Language Pathology.
Work Experience
Successful completion of Clinical Fellowship Year required in most circumstances. Will consider strong CF placements if operationally appropriate.
Experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma Hospital preferred.
2+ years of experience in acute care setting is desired.
Certification and/or clinical Experience with the following populations PREFERRED:
FEES, MBS, PMV.
Neonatal ICU (10 bed NICU onsite)
Trauma
Critical Care
Neuro (OP, Traumatic brain injury, post-concussion)
Orthopedic
License and Certification
Current CA license issued by the State of CA Department of Consumer Affairs, Speech Pathology and Audiology Examining Committee.
