Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Goldsmith role based in Coimbatore. The Goldsmith will be responsible for crafting, repairing, and finishing gold jewelry, including soldering, setting stones, polishing, and ensuring quality standards are met. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design specifications, collaborating with jewelry designers, performing engraving work where required, and maintaining tools and workstations. The role also involves interacting with customers to understand their requirements, providing basic product information, and supporting sales staff with technical input on custom pieces. The Goldsmith is expected to follow safety procedures, manage time efficiently, and contribute to a reliable and professional workshop environment.
Qualifications
Strong goldsmithing skills, including metalworking, soldering, stone setting, and jewelry repair.
Ability to interpret and execute Jewelry Design concepts and work on custom designs with precision.
Experience with Engraving and fine detailing on jewelry pieces is highly beneficial.
Customer Service skills for interacting professionally with clients and understanding their requirements.
Basic Sales support skills to assist in explaining product features and custom work to customers.
Prior experience in a jewelry workshop or goldsmith role, preferably in a retail or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work with fine materials and tools.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks safely and accurately.
Willingness to follow workshop safety, quality control, and company procedures.
