Role Description The Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure to ensure reliable connectivity and optimal performance across the organization. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices, as well as monitoring network health and resolving performance issues. The person in this role will manage network administration tasks, perform regular system checks, and apply security best practices to protect data and systems. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting network incidents, collaborating with IT and security teams on upgrades and changes, documenting configurations and procedures, and supporting users with network-related issues. The Network Engineer will also participate in capacity planning, network optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives to align the infrastructure with organizational goals.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Engineering to manage and optimize enterprise network environments.
Candidates should possess robust Troubleshooting skills to diagnose, analyze, and resolve network issues efficiently.
Candidates should possess Network Security skills to implement, monitor, and maintain secure network configurations and policies.
Candidates should possess Network Design skills to plan and architect scalable, resilient, and high-availability network solutions.
Relevant experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs), and hands-on work with major networking vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP) is beneficial.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools, logging systems, and performance analysis techniques is advantageous.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; professional certifications (such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar) are a plus.
