Social Media Marketing Intern

Company Description YAPPP is a map-first app that helps people discover things to do nearby with others in their area. Users can open the map to see what is happening in their neighborhood right now, later tonight, or in the coming week. They can join open plans, request to join plans that need approval, or create their own activities. YAPPP focuses on making local social experiences easier to find and join, helping people connect with their community in real time.
Role Description Social Media Marketing Intern role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area or Delhi NCR. The intern will support the planning, creation, and publishing of social media content across platforms, aligned with YAPPP’s brand voice and goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting posts, designing basic visual content, scheduling campaigns, monitoring comments and messages, and engaging with online communities. The intern will assist in tracking performance metrics, conducting competitor and trend research, and suggesting improvements to increase user engagement and app awareness. Collaboration with marketing, product, and design team members will be part of the role to ensure cohesive messaging and effective digital campaigns.
Qualifications
Ability to apply Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing skills to grow online presence and engagement.
Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation and Marketing to support campaigns and brand storytelling.
Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with online communities and internal teams.
Familiarity with major social platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok) and basic analytics tools.
Curiosity about consumer behavior, local events, and app-based communities; enthusiasm for start-up environments.
Basic design or video-editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe tools, mobile editing apps) are an added advantage.
