Founding CTO/Head of Technology

Key Responsibilities
1. Software & Application Development
Lead the development and maintenance of Build Hive's web-based management portal and mobile applications.
Oversee the development of modules for project management, site monitoring, activity tracking, quality control, safety management, financial monitoring, document management, and procurement.
Ensure seamless integration between web applications, mobile applications, databases, and third-party systems.
Manage software testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvements.
2. Technology Architecture & Management
Define the technology stack, software architecture, and development roadmap.
Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, reliable, and performance-oriented.
Manage databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and software integrations.
Establish coding standards, development processes, documentation, and quality assurance practices.
3. Research & Development (R&D)
Research and develop innovative technology solutions for the construction industry.
Explore AI, machine learning, automation, and data analytics to improve construction project execution and monitoring.
Develop solutions for cost estimation, progress tracking, material planning, procurement intelligence, and productivity analysis.
Evaluate emerging technologies and convert promising ideas into practical product features.
4. Technical Strategy & Product Development
Work closely with the founder to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve product functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
Define development priorities, project timelines, and technical milestones.
Evaluate the feasibility, cost, and scalability of new product ideas.
5. Team & Vendor Management
Lead and coordinate developers, designers, external technology partners, and service providers as required.
Review code quality and ensure timely delivery of development milestones.
Build and manage an in-house technical team as the company grows.
Maintain proper control over source code, technical documentation, and company intellectual property.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in software development, web applications, and mobile application technologies.
Knowledge of frontend and backend development, databases, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
Understanding of software architecture, system integration, cybersecurity, and application deployment.
Experience in AI, automation, machine learning, or data analytics will be an advantage.
Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of technology development.
Preferred Experience
Experience developing SaaS platforms, ERP systems, project management software, or enterprise applications.
Experience leading software development teams or managing external development partners.
Familiarity with construction technology, project management, procurement, or financial management systems.
An entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in building innovative technology products from the ground up.
