Continual Improvement Intern

Job Description:
The role focuses on manufacturing, data analytics, and supply chain management. As a Continual Improvement intern, you will be given hands-on exposure to Lean Manufacturing through operational analytics, production optimization, supply chain processes, and cross-functional problem solving within a global advanced manufacturing organization. The internship takes place in Spring 2027.
Responsibilities:
The intern will work directly with operations, engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams to identify process improvement opportunities that enhance safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
You Will Make an Impact By:
Supporting Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives across plant operations.
Assisting in Kaizen events, process mapping, and waste reduction projects.
Analyzing production, inventory, quality, and shipment data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Helping develop KPI dashboards and operational performance reporting.
Participating in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
Supporting 6S, visual management, and standardized work initiatives.
Conducting time studies and workflow observations to improve efficiency.
Assisting with inventory optimization and supply chain improvement efforts.
Collaborating with production teams to improve safety, quality, and throughput.
Assisting with facility safety orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.
Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or data analytics tools.
Exposure to ERP or MES systems.
Previous manufacturing or operations internship experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Positive attitude and growth mindset.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Curiosity for operational improvement.

Compensation:
The compensation for this role is $20.00–$27.00 per hour.
