Role Description The Pharmacist will work on-site at Shri Medishine Hospital in Raipur in a full-time capacity, supporting safe and effective medication use for patients. Responsibilities include dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions, verifying dosages, and checking for drug interactions and allergies. The role involves counseling patients and caregivers on proper medication use, side effects, and storage, and providing clear, accessible information. The Pharmacist will maintain inventory, oversee ordering and stocking of medicines, and ensure proper storage conditions and expiry management. Daily tasks also include maintaining accurate records, supporting prescription audits, collaborating with physicians and nurses, complying with regulatory and hospital policies, and participating in quality and safety initiatives related to medication management.
Qualifications
Recognized degree or diploma in Pharmacy and valid registration/license as per local regulatory requirements.
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug dosage calculations, interactions, and contraindications.
Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and ensure safe dispensing practices in a hospital setting.
Effective communication skills for patient counseling and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage inventory and documentation reliably.
Familiarity with hospital pharmacy procedures, electronic medical records, and basic computer applications.
Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control standards, and continuous learning.
Prior experience in a hospital pharmacy or clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for suitable candidates.
