Business Analyst II - WFH

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Process Improvement to support business process improvement and transformation initiatives within a large higher education environment. This fully remote, contract position will work closely with business, administrative, and technology stakeholders to improve operational processes, support system implementations, and facilitate organizational change.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in process improvement, requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), root cause analysis, stakeholder engagement, and change management. The role will focus on identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing practical solutions, and measuring the outcomes of transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead business process improvement and transformation initiatives focused on improving quality, productivity, cost efficiency, and cycle time.
Gather business requirements and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for HR, Finance, and workflow system implementations.
Perform root cause analysis to identify process issues, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate process improvement sessions and collaborate with business, administrative, and technology teams across the organization.
Manage stakeholder engagement and build support for process improvements and system changes.
Identify project risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Assess user readiness and support organizational change initiatives.
Define and track success metrics to measure process improvement results and transformation outcomes.
Prepare project status updates, reports, and presentations for leadership.
Apply project management methods, tools, and lifecycle practices to support successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Strong experience in business process improvement and transformation initiatives.
Experience gathering business requirements and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Proven skills in root cause analysis and process improvement.
Experience supporting HR, Finance, or workflow system implementations.
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives.
Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and project lifecycle activities.
Certification and Experience Requirements
One of the following qualification paths is required:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with 3–4 years of business process improvement experience.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification with 15 or more years of experience driving transformation and process improvement initiatives.

100% remote.
