Role Description The Video Editor Intern is a flexible, remote role. This position involves editing video content for science-focused campaigns, social media, and educational materials, following brand guidelines and project briefs. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with content creators and scientists, organizing and managing media assets, implementing feedback from supervisors, and ensuring deadlines are met. The role also offers opportunities to contribute creative ideas to storyboards and improve workflows for future video projects.
Qualifications
Passion for the subjects, curiosity, and attention to detail.
Candidates should possess skills in Video Editing and Video Production and have an example in their portfolio during the interview process.
Familiarity with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro) and basic audio editing tools is beneficial but not required.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to follow creative direction.
Interest in science communication, educational media, or related fields, and current enrollment in or recent completion of a relevant program (e.g., film, media, communication) is a plus.
