Oversee monitoring coverage for critical integrations, including validation of interface health, performance trends and early fault indicators General Responsibilities
Own lifecycle activities for the observability platform, including upgrades, patching, release planning, configuration management and ongoing optimisation
Drive automation of monitoring, alerting and operational validation processes to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
Support transition of observability capability from external providers to internal teams, ensuring knowledge transfer, documentation and continuity
Identify risks across platform performance, data quality, alerting effectiveness and integration visibility, then implement practical mitigation strategies
Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to specialist and associate level engineers
Influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, security and service management to align observability capability with business and customer outcomes
Contribute to the continuous improvement backlog, including monitoring maturity, event noise reduction, dashboard rationalisation, data quality improvement and operational process uplift
Ensure DevSecOps practices are embedded across observability delivery, operational support and lifecycle management
Skills:
Splunk ITSI service modelling, key performance indicators, notable events and health scoring
Splunk enterprise architecture, administration and platform optimisation
