About the role
As a Software Engineer at Aethel Defense, you will build and scale the backend services and execution engines that power our AI security assessments. You’ll work directly on distributed, high-concurrency systems designed to simulate adversarial attacks against LLMs, autonomous agents, and cloud-hosted AI pipelines.
This is a full-time, fully remote role for an engineer who loves clean architecture, hard security problems, and shipping fast, reliable software.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
Experience with Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++, or similar).
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and working with databases and cloud-native environments.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with modular, maintainable code design.
Comfort working in remote, distributed teams with effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
Knowledge of security concepts, AI/ML systems, or adversarial testing is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
