Cinematographer & Video Editor

At Weddings by Carvaan, we believe wedding films should do more than document a day. They should capture the people, the little moments, the unspoken emotions, and the stories that make every wedding uniquely theirs.
We’re looking for a Wedding Cinematographer & Editor on contractual basis who understands the art of visual storytelling and can turn real moments into films that feel intimate, cinematic, and timeless for a Hybrid Role.
If you notice the quiet moments between the big ones, have an eye for beautiful frames, and believe editing is as much about what you leave out as what you keep in, we’d love to meet you.
What will you do:
Film wedding ceremonies, candid moments, couple portraits, and behind-the-scenes stories.
Create documentary style wedding films, highlights, teasers, and social media reels.
Collaborate with the creative team to translate each couple’s story into a distinct visual narrative.
Edit footage with a strong understanding of pacing, music, sound design, colour grading, and emotional storytelling.
Work with natural light, available light, and camera movement to create visually compelling sequences.
Travel for wedding assignments as required.
What are we looking for:
Good Behaviour & Professional Ethics - Non Negotiable
Own Video Editing Setup.
Experience in cinematography and video editing, preferably in weddings, documentaries, music videos, or narrative filmmaking.
A strong visual sense and an understanding of composition, lighting, movement, and framing.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent editing software.
A good understanding of colour correction, colour grading, sound design.
Familiarity with Sony FX Camera Systems.
The ability to work under pressure while remaining attentive to details and people.
A collaborative mindset, reliability, and a genuine passion for filmmaking.
Brownie points if you:
Have FX Camera Systems
Understand how to capture candid moments without making people feel conscious of the camera.
Enjoy experimenting with unconventional frames, transitions, visual motifs, and storytelling techniques.
