Mission Statement:
Musée Magazine is a dynamic, print and digital biennial, and interactive website dedicated to featuring works by emerging and established artists. Sometimes quirky, sometimes sensual, always unpredictable, Musée moves on the cutting edge as an unparalleled photo-based platform. Today, Musée finds itself at the vanguard of photography and film culture. We strive to empower promising artists as they navigate and launch future careers throughout the global photographic community, while commingling with industry influencers to provide relevant content for academics, students, and photography aficionados alike. Like a photographic library, Musée has a broad appeal, encompassing all genres from the photo-world’s beloved masters to the new, exciting, and unexpected.

Musée prides itself on giving our interns valuable hands-on experience and insight into the digital publication industry. As an intern with Musée, you will be exposed to the photographic community’s most established figures, up and coming works, premiering films, and gallery openings. You will learn key skills regarding your field of interest as well as enhance traits that are vital to any professional environment: professional comportment, problem solving, and a heightened attention to detail.
All potential interns must possess:
The ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong written and verbal skills
Professionalism and punctuality
Familiarity with Musée Magazine. Please take the time to browse our past issues.
Interns are required to commit 3 days a week for four-months (16 Weeks). Interns must be able to attend 3 11AM meetings M-TH. This is a remote position. We do stress that all internships are unpaid, with school, masthead, and on-page credit available as appropriate and upon the internship’s completion.
Editorial Interns develop new content on photographers, exhibitions, and the current environment of contemporary photography for the magazine and website. In addition, interns will assist with transcribing, fact-checking, copyediting, and proofreading articles. Editorial Interns will have the opportunity to write photography book and film reviews, as well as craft questions for artist interviews. Excellent communication and grammar skills are mandated. Prior knowledge of the photography world is key. Candidates applying for an Editorial position must provide a minimum of 2 writing samples.
