About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Growth Account Executive based in Canada.
Join a fast-growing technology organization helping enterprises improve the reliability and trustworthiness of their data and AI systems. As a Senior Growth Account Executive, you will own a portfolio of strategic enterprise customers and drive expansion by identifying new teams, business units, use cases, and revenue opportunities. You will take a proactive, hunter-oriented approach to building pipeline, developing executive relationships, and converting customer insights into significant commercial growth. Working closely with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and sales leadership, you will lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial discovery through closing. This role is ideal for an experienced enterprise seller who combines technical credibility with strong commercial judgment and executive presence. You will help customers scale their data and AI initiatives while contributing to growth in an evolving technology market.
Accountabilities
Own strategic enterprise accounts: Manage a portfolio of approximately 10–15 high-value enterprise customers representing around $5 million in annual recurring revenue, with an annual sales quota of approximately $1.2 million.
Drive account expansion: Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships into new departments, business units, use cases, and budgets, creating additional value and revenue beyond initial deployments.
Build and generate pipeline: Proactively prospect within existing accounts, identify new stakeholders, develop multiple relationships across organizations, and turn individual champions into broader networks of customer advocates.
Develop strategic account plans: Map customer organizational structures, understand business priorities, identify growth opportunities, assess risks, and establish clear plans for future expansion.
Build executive relationships: Lead executive business reviews (EBRs) and quarterly business reviews (QBRs), connecting product capabilities to measurable business outcomes and strategic priorities.
Manage complex sales cycles: Lead enterprise expansion opportunities with sales cycles typically lasting six to twelve months, coordinating discovery, stakeholder alignment, commercial discussions, and closing activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Sales Engineers, Customer Success, and sales leadership to develop tailored solutions, address customer challenges, and advance opportunities effectively.
Lead customer engagements: Conduct on-site customer meetings, facilitate high-level discussions, and confidently manage conversations involving technical practitioners, decision-makers, and executive sponsors.
Maintain strong sales execution: Track pipeline progression, identify risks early, manage multiple stakeholders, and consistently work toward revenue targets and expansion goals.
Requirements
Enterprise sales experience: At least five years in a quota-carrying sales role with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding targets and demonstrated tenure in previous positions.
Proven expansion sales success: Experience identifying and closing new business within existing enterprise accounts, particularly by expanding into new departments, business units, and stakeholder groups. Candidates should be able to discuss specific deals they independently sourced and closed, rather than relying primarily on renewals or customer success-led upselling.
Technical industry knowledge: Experience selling data, infrastructure, or other technical products to technical buyers, with the ability to engage credibly with data teams and understand their business challenges.
Strong business acumen: Ability to translate technical concepts, such as data reliability and AI system performance, into compelling business cases that resonate with senior executives and financial decision-makers.
Proactive pipeline generation: A self-directed approach to prospecting, relationship building, and opportunity creation, with the persistence to uncover expansion opportunities rather than waiting for inbound interest or renewal cycles.
Executive presence: Confidence leading executive-level business reviews, presenting strategic recommendations, managing difficult conversations, and building trust with senior stakeholders.
Strategic account management: Strong organizational and analytical skills, including the ability to develop detailed account plans, map complex organizations, identify commercial risks, and prioritize growth opportunities.
Complex deal management: Experience navigating long enterprise sales cycles, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and collaborating with technical and customer-facing teams to bring opportunities to completion.
Communication and collaboration: Excellent presentation, negotiation, listening, and relationship-building skills, paired with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Long-term performance and ownership: A track record of sustained performance, accountability, and commitment to building customer relationships over time.
Benefits
Competitive compensation: A competitive compensation package, although the exact salary range and on-target earnings are not specified in the provided posting.
Equity opportunities: Eligibility for equity as part of the compensation package.
Remote-first work environment: Flexibility to work remotely within the advertised Americas region, with customer visits and on-site meetings as required. Candidates based in Canada should confirm location eligibility with the hiring team.
Opportunity to shape an emerging market: Work in a growing technology category focused on data observability, AI reliability, and enterprise AI adoption.
Established enterprise customer base: Engage with major organizations and help solve complex, business-critical data and AI challenges.
Collaborative environment: Partner with experienced colleagues across Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and leadership.
Inclusive workplace culture: Join an organization committed to equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion.
Growth and development: Build expertise in enterprise expansion sales, strategic account leadership, and emerging AI infrastructure solutions.
