Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Python Developer role located in Surathkal, focused on Frappe, ERP implementations, and mechanical engineering workflows. The Python Developer will design, develop, and maintain back-end modules and APIs within the Frappe framework to support ERP functionalities tailored to mechanical engineering processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and testable Python code, integrating databases, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting issues across ERP modules. The role involves collaborating with mechanical engineers and other stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical specifications, customizing workflows, and improving usability. The developer will also participate in code reviews, documentation, deployment activities, and continuous enhancement of existing systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and security.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills in Python with solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Experience in back-end web development, preferably using Frappe or similar frameworks.
Hands-on software development experience, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
Working knowledge of databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data modeling for ERP or enterprise applications.
Ability to analyze mechanical engineering workflows and convert them into efficient software solutions.
Familiarity with ERP systems, business process automation, and integration of third-party services is an advantage.
Comfortable with version control (e.g., Git), collaborative development, and agile methodologies.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Designing or equivalent practical experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
