IT Support Civil Servant (Entry / Junior Level)

Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for an Entry / Junior Level IT Support Civil Servant at MZ Engineering. The role involves providing basic technical support to internal users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with connectivity problems, and escalating complex incidents to senior IT staff. The IT Support Civil Servant helps maintain documentation of IT procedures, supports user onboarding and access permissions, and ensures compliance with internal policies related to data security and system use. Daily activities may also include coordinating with relevant public sector entities on IT-related requirements, supporting internal communication channels, and contributing to continuous improvement of IT service delivery.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Government Relations and familiarity with Local Government processes.
Candidates should possess understanding of Public Sector environments and basic regulatory awareness.
Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction.
Candidates should possess Analytical Skills for diagnosing technical issues and interpreting user needs.
Basic knowledge of IT support, including operating systems, office productivity tools, and networking fundamentals.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and handle multiple requests.
Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and alignment with organizational values.
Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or regional languages is an advantage.
