Role Description The UI Designer role at MERLIN APPS LTD is a full-time, on-site position based in Dharmapuri. In this role, the UI Designer will create user interface layouts, visual design elements, and interactive components for web and software applications used in industrial and engineering contexts. Day-to-day tasks include designing and refining mockups, collaborating with UX designers and developers, and ensuring that interfaces are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with brand and functional requirements. The UI Designer will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical requirements into clear, attractive, and efficient user interfaces. The role also involves iterating on designs based on user feedback, usability findings, and stakeholder input.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Visual Design and User Interface Design skills, with a portfolio demonstrating clean, modern, and functional interfaces.
Candidates should possess experience in User Experience (UX), including understanding user flows, interaction patterns, and usability best practices.
Candidates should possess proficiency in creating detailed Mockups and design specifications for implementation by development teams.
Candidates should possess familiarity with Front-End Development concepts (e.g., HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) to ensure designs are feasible and implementation-ready.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field are beneficial.
Experience using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and working in cross-functional product teams is preferred.
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and work on-site with diverse stakeholders.
Experience designing interfaces for industrial, manufacturing, or engineering applications is an advantage.
