Role Description The Senior Vice President of Sales will lead the overall sales strategy and execution for Cell Stem Cell by Cell Press, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market presence. This full-time remote role oversees sales planning, performance management, pipeline development, and forecasting across key customer segments, including institutions, industry partners, and advertisers. The role includes managing and mentoring the sales organization, setting clear goals, aligning sales operations with business objectives, and collaborating closely with editorial, marketing, and finance teams to create integrated commercial initiatives. The Senior Vice President of Sales will engage in high-level business development, cultivate strategic partnerships, negotiate major agreements, and maintain strong executive-level relationships with key accounts. Day-to-day activities involve reviewing sales metrics, optimizing processes, refining go-to-market strategies, and ensuring an inclusive, high-performance culture within the sales team.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Sales and Sales Management, with a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets in a B2B or publishing-related environment.
Proficiency in Account Management, including building long-term client relationships, managing renewal cycles, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Strong background in Sales Operations, encompassing forecasting, pipeline management, performance analytics, and process optimization.
Experience in Business Development, including identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and negotiating complex deals.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing senior-level sales professionals and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with comfort engaging at executive and stakeholder levels.
Understanding of scientific publishing, life sciences, or stem cell research markets is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or a related field; advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, using digital tools for collaboration, reporting, and customer engagement.
