Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical components and assemblies for the company’s product lines, ensuring they meet performance, manufacturability, and safety requirements. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating detailed CAD models and drawings, performing design calculations, collaborating with cross-functional teams (production, quality, and procurement), and supporting prototype development and testing. The role involves analyzing feedback from manufacturing and customers to refine designs, preparing technical documentation, and maintaining design standards and best practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara, requiring close coordination with shop-floor teams and regular involvement in design reviews.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core mechanical knowledge, including Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design.
Candidates should possess design-focused skills such as Design Engineering and Product Design.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
Candidates should possess the ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and industry standards.
Candidates should possess problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze mechanical failures and propose design improvements.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams.
Relevant bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Experience in industrial product development, material selection, and basic manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, assembly) is beneficial.
