Role Description The Proposal Engineer role is a full-time remote position responsible for developing technical and commercial proposals for process and high-purity solutions. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing customer specifications, collaborating with engineering and sales teams to define solutions, and preparing detailed proposal documents, cost estimates, and technical offer content. The Proposal Engineer will coordinate with procurement to obtain vendor quotes, validate equipment selections, and ensure that proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with TSA standards and client requirements. The role also involves supporting the sales team in bid clarification meetings, answering technical queries, and updating proposal templates and tools to improve efficiency and consistency. This position requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality and deadlines in a remote work environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong proposal preparation and proposal writing skills, including the ability to interpret technical specifications and prepare clear, structured documentation.
Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline to understand process equipment, system design, and technical integrations.
Candidates should possess sales-related skills, such as supporting business development, understanding commercial terms, and aligning proposals with client needs and market conditions.
Candidates should possess procurement-related skills, including coordinating vendor quotations, evaluating technical and commercial offers, and supporting cost optimization.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation and technical content.
Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely across multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant experience in process engineering, high-purity systems, pharma/biotech projects, or industrial equipment proposals is highly beneficial.
A bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical background is preferred.
Proficiency in standard office and engineering tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, basic CAD or P&ID review) and familiarity with proposal or CRM systems is an advantage.
