Quality Assurance Intern

QA Intern joining a live delivery team to ensure shipped web and mobile products meet client expectations through testing, defect reporting, and defect prevention.
Responsibilities
Run manual and automated tests on web and mobile apps; report results clearly.
Write and maintain automated test scripts under senior QA guidance.
File actionable bug reports with steps, expected/actual results, severity, evidence.
Maintain Known Error Database (KEDB) with issues and workarounds to prevent repeats.
Scope tickets by breaking features into testable pieces, acceptance criteria, gaps.
Participate in sprint ceremonies: planning, standups, retrospectives.
Retest fixes and confirm changes don’t break related areas.
Required Qualifications
Student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related.
Familiarity with at least one automated testing tool or framework.
Understanding of bug reporting and tracking, ideally with Jira/Linear.
Awareness of known error databases and why teams maintain them.
Experience breaking features into smaller tasks or test cases.
Detail-oriented, patient tester willing to repeat checks multiple ways.
Clear written English for defect documentation and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic scripting knowledge in JavaScript or Python.
Exposure to API testing using Postman.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum ways of working.
Curiosity about using AI tools to speed up testing.
