Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore for a USW Ultrasonic Plastic Welding Machine Setting Supervisor. The supervisor is responsible for setting up, calibrating, and monitoring ultrasonic plastic welding machines to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production specifications. Day-to-day activities include reviewing technical drawings, selecting appropriate welding parameters, conducting test runs, and troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime. The role involves coordinating with production staff, maintaining detailed records of machine settings and output, and implementing safety and quality standards on the shop floor. The supervisor also supports training of operators, collaborates with maintenance teams, and contributes to process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Welding processes, including experience with ultrasonic plastic welding operations.
Practical knowledge of Arc Welding, TIG Welding, and MIG Welding techniques as they relate to plastics and related components.
Understanding of Materials used in plastic welding, including properties, behavior under heat and vibration, and compatibility with ultrasonic processes.
Experience in machine setup, calibration, and troubleshooting for industrial welding or manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures.
Commitment to workplace safety, quality control, and adherence to regulatory and company standards.
Effective communication and supervisory skills, with the ability to guide and train machine operators in a respectful, inclusive manner.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment; experience with ultrasonic welding machinery is highly beneficial.
Relevant technical diploma, certification, or degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
