Qualifications & Experience
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience in vendor management within the Engineering/Components domain
Familiarity with manufacturing processes including CNC turning, grinding, milling, jig boring, and hardening
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Vendor Management:
Proactively identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for materials and services
Assess vendor capabilities, quality standards, and production capacity
Monitor and evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, delivery, and service
Negotiation & Cost Optimization:
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness
Ensure timely availability of materials to support production schedules
Collaboration & Communication:
Strong coordination skills with both internal teams and external vendors
Effective communication to align expectations and resolve issues promptly
Technical & Digital Skills:
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications
