Role Description The Life Insurance Agent role at Life Insurance Corporation of India is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The agent will engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their financial needs, recommend suitable life insurance products, and support them throughout the policy lifecycle. Daily tasks include generating leads, conducting meetings and presentations, explaining policy features and benefits, assisting with applications and documentation, and following up on renewals and claims-related queries. The role involves maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, meeting sales targets, and participating in LIC training and development programs to stay updated on products and regulatory requirements. The agent is expected to collaborate with branch staff, uphold LIC’s service standards, and represent the organization professionally in the local community.
Qualifications
Strong insurance sales capabilities, including Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with the ability to match products to customer needs.
Knowledge of Insurance products and basic Finance concepts to explain policy features, premiums, returns, and benefits clearly.
Excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to build trust, handle inquiries, and support customers throughout the policy lifecycle.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in local language(s) and English being beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Vadodara, manage time effectively, and meet individual sales and service goals.
Comfort with basic digital tools for recording customer data, preparing proposals, and accessing LIC systems.
