Role Description The Textile Designer will work on-site full time at the Gossip Confetti studio in Hauz Khas, developing original textile concepts and patterns for various product lines. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating textile prints and graphics, exploring embroidery and other surface techniques, and preparing design files and technical specifications for production. The role involves researching trends, colors, and materials, collaborating with the design and merchandising teams, and iterating designs based on feedback and market requirements. The Textile Designer will also support sampling and production follow-up, ensuring designs are accurately translated onto textiles.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Embroidery and Textile Prints, with the ability to translate concepts into detailed, production-ready designs.
Proficiency working with Textiles, including understanding of fabrics, finishes, and surface treatments.
Experience in Graphics and Graphic Design, including creating patterns, motifs, and layouts for print.
Ability to use industry-standard design software (such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) for textile and graphic development.
Relevant education in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong sense of color, composition, and trend awareness, with a portfolio demonstrating creative and commercial design work.
Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and willingness to collaborate in a studio environment.
