Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Engineering Manager / Civil Engineering Director to lead engineering operations, oversee project execution, and drive technical excellence across civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, strategic leadership, and project management capabilities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee civil engineering projects from planning and design through construction and completion.
Manage engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and project delivery.
Review and approve engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, quality standards, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and statutory standards.
Identify technical risks, resolve engineering challenges, and implement effective solutions.
Develop engineering strategies, improve operational efficiency, and provide technical guidance to senior management.
Build strong client relationships and support business development, tendering, and project planning activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline; a Master’s Degree is an advantage.
Professional engineering registration or relevant certifications are preferred or required where applicable.
Extensive experience in civil engineering, infrastructure, construction, or related projects, including leadership responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of engineering design, construction methods, project management, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules, and multiple projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strategic mindset with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
