Senior Auditor

Role Description The Senior Auditor will conduct independent reviews and evaluations of hospitality businesses featured or considered for coverage, focusing on service quality, operational efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. This part-time, remote role includes analyzing financial and operational data, assessing internal controls, and reviewing policies and procedures related to guest experience and service delivery. The Senior Auditor will prepare clear, data-driven reports and recommendations, collaborate with editorial and research teams to validate findings, and help define criteria for excellence in hospitality operations. The role also involves maintaining documentation, managing multiple audit assignments, and communicating results to stakeholders in a concise and professional manner.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong audit and compliance skills, including experience in operational, financial, or internal auditing within hospitality or service-focused industries.
Candidates should possess analytical and research skills, including data analysis, risk assessment, and the ability to interpret complex operational and financial information.
Candidates should possess reporting and communication skills, including clear writing, structured documentation, and the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates should possess organizational and remote work skills, including time management, attention to detail, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, hospitality management, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are advantageous.
Experience in hospitality operations, service quality assessment, or consulting, along with a demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality, is highly beneficial.
