Role Description The Owner role at The Campus Review is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the platform. Day-to-day tasks include defining editorial priorities, planning content calendars, and guiding the creation and publication of articles, guides, and reviews on courses and educational programs. The owner manages partnerships with institutions, negotiates collaborations, and evaluates opportunities for audience growth and revenue generation. This role also involves overseeing brand positioning, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring that all content aligns with the mission of supporting learners and professionals in navigating the modern education landscape. The owner will coordinate with contributors and freelancers, maintain quality standards, and make key decisions on technology, marketing, and budgeting.
Qualifications
Experience in content strategy and editorial planning, including managing digital publications or education-focused platforms.
Strong skills in leadership, decision-making, and project management, with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Background or strong interest in education, professional development, or emerging industries, with awareness of current learning trends.
Competence in digital marketing and audience growth (e.g., SEO basics, social media management, email newsletters, analytics tools).
Financial and business acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and evaluating partnership or revenue opportunities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to represent the brand in external communications and negotiations.
Comfort working independently in a remote environment, with reliable internet access and strong organizational skills.
Prior experience in entrepreneurship, online media, or managing small teams is highly beneficial.
