About The Opportunity
Westbury Sportswear is a high-growth sportswear brand committed to delivering performance-led, trend-forward athletic apparel to consumers across India and global markets.
In partnership with a top global footwear brand, the company is rapidly scaling its e-commerce vertical across all major Indian marketplaces.
The merchandising team sits at the intersection of commerce, product, and data — driving the right assortment to the right customer at the right time.
Role & Responsibilities
Build seasonal and event-based assortment plans aligned to brand strategy and marketplace demand signals.
Coordinate with design, sourcing, and product teams on style selection, pricing architecture, and launch timelines.
Analyse sales performance data to drive informed buying, replenishment, and markdown decisions.
Develop category-level range plans ensuring depth, width, and price point diversity.
Work closely with category and key account teams on Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Ajio, and other platforms.
Drive visibility through catalogue optimisation, brand store management, and search ranking strategies.
Lead conversion improvement initiatives including A+ content, ratings management, and image quality.
Plan and execute discounting strategies and participate in major sale events (Big Billion Day, End of Season, etc.).
Align merchandising plans with marketing campaigns, content calendars, and new product drop schedules.
Coordinate with finance and operations teams for inventory planning, OTB budgeting, and cash flow alignment.
Partner with the accounts and operations team to ensure zero leakages in platform claims and settlement reconciliations.
Work with the logistics team to ensure inbound inventory flow supports planned launches and replenishment cycles.
Track and report on key metrics — ASPs, Rate of Sale (ROS), sell-through rates, inventory ageing, and return rates.
Monitor competitor assortment, pricing moves, and marketplace trends to identify opportunities and risks.
Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for leadership, with actionable insights and recommendations.
Build and maintain dashboards for real-time inventory visibility across platforms.
Support in mentoring and developing junior merchandisers and catalogue team as the team scales with business growth.
Maintain and own the merchandising calendar across all e-commerce platforms — launches, promotions, and events.
Drive process improvements in planning, buying, and platform management workflows.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
5 – 8 years of progressive experience in e-commerce fashion merchandising; footwear or sportswear experience is a strong plus.
Deep expertise in inventory planning, open-to-buy management, pricing strategy, and marketplace operations.
Demonstrated experience working with major Indian marketplaces (Amazon, Myntra, Flipkart, Ajio, or similar).
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with data tools or planning software is advantageous.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Highly detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred
Graduate or Post-Graduate from NIFT, Pearl Academy, or a premier fashion / fashion management institution.
Exposure to international brand collaborations or global marketplace management.
Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-scaling e-commerce environment.
Familiarity with marketplace analytics tools and catalogue management platforms.
Benefits & Culture Highlights
